Pedestrian Accident Lawsuit Filed – Brain Injury Lawyer

Our Michigan brain injury lawyers recently filed a motor vehicle versus pedestrian lawsuit for a client in the Livingston County Circuit Court.  The case arises out of an accident that occurred in the city of Hartland.  Our client was a pedestrian that was walking on the shoulder when a vehicle drove into the shoulder striking the pedestrian from behind. The driver of the motor vehicle was under the influence of three types of prescription medication: Percocet; Lyrica & Cymbalta.

Our client was thrown up onto the hood of the motor vehicle and struck his head on the windshield and pillar of the car. He was knocked unconscious and when he came too was unable to identify himself, the day or the time.  The client was rushed to the University of Michigan Hospital and admitted.  He was diagnosed with a closed head injury, also known as a traumatic brain injury.   He also received staples to the open wound on his head.  The client also sustained and injury and aggravation to a prior surgery to the neck.

No trial date has been set by the court.    He continues to have cognitive deficits associated with the brain injury and his life has been significantly impacted from this accident. The lawsuit seeks damages for the personal injuries and disability suffered by our client in this car accident.
